We also know a number of news reports and movies about people who call themselves “content moderators”, however, what exactly is content moderation? We hope to answer this question in this article.
As it is described on many web pages devoted to this issue, content moderation is some sort of checking out photos, posts and videos created by users in order to verify whether it complies with the internal rules of the website or legal regulations appropriate for a particular country. People who do this job - content moderators – are responsible for constant screening, monitoring and approving content that is fine with guidelines. In some cases, content moderators also respond to feedback and posts that have been already published on a website. It must be noted that their job helps to drive up user engagement.
Content moderation can be, however, operated with the use of modern automated tools. Types of content moderation and its future
There are different types of content moderation. Among them we can find:
